For more than 100 years, the Seventh-day Adventist Church has offered a range of lifestyle health programs in Toowoomba City and surrounds. These have included 5-Day Stop Smoking Plans, Depression Recovery, Alcohol Awareness, Heart Health and Vegetarian Cooking seminars, Fitness programs and more.

In 1863 the Seventh-day Adventist Church was gifted with an inspired blueprint for achieving and maintaining wholistic health—physical, mental and spiritual. Today, medical research regularly reveals that Seventh-day Adventists are longevity all-stars, living an average of ten years longer than the general population and enjoying healthier lives overall.

Based on this total health blueprint, today the Seventh-day Adventist Church operates a global network of more than one thousand healthcare institutions, such as hospitals, health retreats, health education centres and medical clinics.

Importantly, we have also been instructed to share these health principles with all people and have created a range of professional, clinically-proven and globally-tested health programs to do so.

Due to the significant need for lifestyle medicine interventions in the Toowoomba region, the local Seventh-day Adventist churches recently expanded their health services. At the forefront of this expansion is the Abundant Living Centre at 669 Greenwattle St, Glenvale.

Combining the 1863 health principles with the latest medical discoveries, the Abundant Living Centre offers educational programs in physical, mental and spiritual wellness. These services equip local residents, with the ongoing support of a group environment, to take control of their health in order to live happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives.

The Neil Nedley Depression and Anxiety Recovery Program (DARP) —a beacon of hope and healing for those seeking relief from the burdens of depression and anxiety. The program, developed by renowned physician and mental health expert Dr. Neil Nedley, offers a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to recovery.
